Best and Worst Dressed Golden Globes 2012

Best

1. Angelina Jolie - This Veteran Best Dressed woman always looks great on the red carpet and wins Best Dressed at the 2012 Golden Globes. This dress seems to be tailored to fit her body specifically. This look is both sleek and sexy as well as feminine and modern. The tight fit around her upper body and torso comes down to a twist and transforms into flowing sleekness. The sexy slit gives us a peek at her flawless legs, and beautiful shoes. And how can you not adore the shot of red coming from her color bone. It gives the look a pop of color, an interesting shape, and movement along with the twist in the torso.

2. Charlize Theron - The way the neck line of this dress plunges and shapes the top of her body is sensational. Some may sneer at the oversized flower on the side of her hip but this piece is what makes this dress so dramatic rather than another Ancient Grecian inspired dress. I love the fresh soft hair that imitates the dress itself, with the bun on the side. The hairstyle also provides a vintage 1920's mood to the look. Don't forget the train following this leading lady. She looked phenomenal.

3. Selma Hayek - Let's start with the top of the dress: a glorious metal pattern that follows the shape of her best asset. Ahem. Anyways, the pattern really draws your attention to this fabulous dress. Without the vertical beading on the skirt of the dress, it could have made the Spanish vixen look short and stocky. Her flowing locks makes her look like an Aztec goddess in this Gucci dress.

4. Rooney Mara - This classic beauty chose a dress that would showcase that aspect of this modest actress' style. She looked clean, classic, and simple which worked for her.

5. Reese Witherspoon - If you want to go for a "so hot i'm on fire look" go for red! Reese did and she looks breathtaking. Those seams outlining her hips and the flowing blonde hairs aren't hurting her either.

Worst

1. Piper Perabo - It looks like she took a clear plastic tarp and cut it into an unfortunate princess gown.

2. Madonna - This is not flattering on her buff arms or her bosom that is busting out of her dress.

3. Zooey Deschanel - Was she going for an extra terrestrial or a power puff girl?

4. Lea Michele - Unfortunately the Glee star decided to dress up as a lizard on her Golden Globe debut.

5 - Heidi Klum - Nude dresses are never a good choice. Especially when they squish your figure.
